Albatross is a quirky Manga styled online golf game.
Players compete for experience (XP) and gold (Pang). XP is used to reach higher levels which allow the use of more powerful equipment (clothes). Pang is used to purchase clothes and single use items.
Players can also pay real money to purchase cookies which can then be used to purchase more advanced clothes. Unlike many games that allow players to purchase in-game items with real-world money, the cookie only items in Albatross18 are not significantly more powerful than the pang only items. Nor does purchasing cookie items allow you to bypass the level requirements. Purchasing cookies simply reduces the need to grind for pang.
There are also many themed clothing items that are available during special occasions, like Christmas outfits, or Shamrock golf balls (for St Patrick's Day).
